Description

1. Product Description

SUNTHERM Industrial Insulation Rock Wool Pipes (SUN Series) are made by molding rock wool fibers into pipe shells, followed by high-temperature curing and forming. For easy installation, the pipes feature a single longitudinal slit along the shell axis, ensuring a tight fit with the insulated pipeline. The outer surface of the pipe can be finished to ensure uniform insulation thickness. Low-chloride products can be produced upon request. Depending on application requirements, the pipes can be laminated with facing materials such as aluminum foil fiberglass cloth (AG), aluminum foil (ALK), or fiberglass cloth (GF).

8. FAQ

Q1: How effective is the insulation of rock wool pipes?
A1: Made from natural basalt and melted at high temperatures, rock wool pipes have a dense fiber structure and low thermal conductivity, effectively preventing heat transfer and providing excellent insulation performance.

Q2: What types of pipelines are suitable for rock wool pipes?
A2: Widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, and shipbuilding industries for various hot and cold pipelines. Suitable for steam, hot water, or other media, especially convenient for small-diameter straight pipelines.

Q3: Is installing rock wool pipes difficult?
A3: Installation is straightforward if guidelines are followed. Check pipe quality, clean the site, prepare tools and materials, measure and cut pipes as needed, connect and secure joints, and ensure proper support and inspection.

Q4: What is the service life of rock wool pipes?
A4: With stable chemical properties, high fiber strength, and proper maintenance, service life is 10–15 years. Excellent corrosion and aging resistance ensures long-term stability even under harsh conditions.
