Since the industrial revolution, humans have been consuming large amounts of fuel and deforestation, and the concentration of greenhouse gases has continued to rise, leading to global warming and threatening global environmental security. Appropriate countermeasures are put forward, namely "carbon peak" and "carbon neutral". The Chinese government has announced a "dual 30-60 carbon target" of reaching "peak carbon" by 2030 and "carbon neutral" by 2060.
According to Dr. Lee, demand determines supply. China's steel industry with the development of regulation and development of the steel industry. This is mainly manifested in the following aspects:
(1) The service mode (relationship between supply and demand) has changed, and the degree of integration with the demand side has become higher and higher. The refractory industry has moved from a simple sale of products to a general contract system of resistant materials.
(2) At present, the total annual consumption of refractory materials from the demand side (terminal) is estimated at about 70-85 billion yuan per year, of which the steel industry accounts for more than 70%.
(3) The consumption of refractory materials on the demand side will gradually decrease.
By the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan, annual consumption of refractories will decrease from the current level of about 20 million tons to about 15 million tons after the steel, cement and non-ferrous metal industries reach their "carbon peak". (their output will also mostly peak). In the process of moving from "peak carbon" to "carbon neutral" (production will decrease year on year), the overall consumption of refractories will continue to decrease.
(4) the concentration of the refractory industry is too low and needs to be improved.
There are many manufacturers and they are scattered, the scale of one enterprise is too small.
We need to deepen supply-side structural reform, control production capacity, integrate resources, carry out a strategic reorganization (merger, consolidation) of quality stock production capacity, and increase the degree of concentration.
