Specific Application Scenarios of Ceramic Fiber Paper in Petrochemical Industry Heating Furnaces
In petrochemical industry heating furnaces, ceramic fiber paper is mainly used for furnace lining insulation, furnace door sealing, burner protection, pipeline insulation, and thermal insulation of special-shaped components. Its low thermal conductivity, thermal shock resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance significantly improve the energy efficiency and safety of heating furnaces. The specific applications are as follows:
1. Furnace Lining Insulation
Used as an inner insulation layer or composite lining, it offers low thermal conductivity (<0.12 W/m·K at 400℃), reduces weight by one-third, and lowers furnace wall temperature. After retrofitting with ceramic fiber paper, one enterprise saved 500 tons of fuel oil annually.
2. Furnace Door and Expansion Joint Sealing
Filling furnace doors, observation ports, and other gaps, it provides flexibility, high-temperature resistance (>1000℃), and adapts to thermal expansion while preventing heat leakage. In ethylene cracking furnaces, its use reduced heat dissipation losses.
3. Burner and Thermocouple Protection
Wrapping around burners or thermocouple sheaths, it isolates high-temperature flames, extending equipment service life. In refinery heating furnaces, it lowers burner surface temperatures and reduces thermal stress damage.
4. High-Temperature Pipeline Insulation
Wrapped around pipeline exteriors, it reduces surface temperatures by more than 30℃, improves working conditions, and decreases energy waste. Applied to steam pipelines, it has proven effective in reducing energy losses.

5. Thermal Insulation of Special-Shaped Components
Customized for elbows, tees, and other irregular parts, it fits complex structures and eliminates insulation blind spots. In catalytic cracking units, its application reduced localized heat loss by 40%.
